On October 21 we will shape our service around a grateful remembering of the past and a courageous vision of the future. This kind of imagination is essential to understand our present moment. First Baptist Church has been seeking the risen Christ for well over a century in Pasadena. It is humbling to stand in our sanctuary and consider all of the lives that precede us. That picture on the reverse side is of the 1904 Deacon Body. A lot has changed since then (right ladies?!), yet God has remained faithful. So whether you were at worship last Sunday or last century, may you turn your face toward home. God has more story to write with this congregation. In fact, it feels like we are just getting started.
Worship is at 10:30am, with a special homecoming potluck following on the grounds.
Bring your friends. Bring your stories. Bring a dish. Come on home.
