Getting involved
Below are ways to support our immigrant neighbors (email Pastor Chip if you are attending any of these so we can look for each other):
LA Voice is holding a prayer vigil DTLA and you are welcome to register and attend! See flyer for details.
Mano a Mano Food Distribution - Fridays from 8:30am-12:00pm. Stop by at any point during that time frame to help with the distribution or just to direct traffic and help us keep on the lookout for potential threats. Meets in Kaiser Parking Lot near the intersection of Madison and Los Robles.
Stations of Grief - La Fuente Ministries - July 11th from 6-9pm, July 12th from 1-7pm, July 13th from 3-7pm. “One of the ways to block people from healing is to cut off the ability to grieve.”

Pastors Chip, Lindsay and Riley (and others of you) gathered to honor a mother who was taken by ICE from Pasadena on her way to work. The Job Center partnered with CCC for prayers and support of the Pasadena community. The clergy in the Pasadena area can use your prayers as these ICE events weigh heavily on the families, neighbors and congregations. Many community members are living in fear, and the clergy are faithfully responding to crisis after crisis as raids occur. Please pray for their continued sturdiness and managing the stress of the pastoral care.

Pastors and many of you attended a prayer vigil at Villa Parke at 5pm. We are thankful for peaceful demonstrations of resistance and unity in prayer throughout the city. Then, several folks headed to Pasadena Pride at City Hall and claimed love “In Pasadena as it is in Heaven.”

The last week has been cause for deep lament as we continued to witness suffering in our city. Below you can listen to an audio update from Pastors John Jay and Lindsay on the immigration happenings and how we are feeling called to respond. Our spiritual practices will remain critical as we engage with this work, and we know many of you could use a contemplative space to pray and process. Our Chapel will be open from 9-10am on Sundays this month. Come to light a candle, sit and pray, or ask a prayer team member to pray with you in this space.
