The Foundation of First Baptist Church of Pasadena was established in 1958 by members of the church, out of their commitment to contribute to the church not only during their lifetime, but in the years to come. Since then, the Foundation has served as an independent body, separate from, but connected to the church, for the purpose of receiving, stewarding, and investing funds. The Foundation Board of Trustees works to approve funds, as needed, to help support the church in projects or needs that go beyond the annual budget. What was begun by that original group over sixty years ago has grown into an endowment that has increased every year through careful investment, membership dues paid by current Foundation members, and the generosity of special gifts and estate bequests made by members of FBC Pasadena.

Foundation funding over the years has contributed immensely to the lifeblood of the church, namely through renovations to our campus, including the elevator, new water bottle filling stations, installation of solar panels, remodeling the Southside Room, youth rooms, staff offices and restrooms throughout the building, landscaping projects, new tables, chairs, and furnishings for the narthex, as well as several “behind the scenes” maintenance projects including the boiler, and other plumbing and infrastructure projects.

The Foundation has also been important in various aspects of ministry, such as paying for seminary internship stipends, helping support the costs of new or temporary staffing positions, providing scholarships for college and seminary students, and underwriting mission trips and Christian education training.

If you are interested in making a donation to the Foundation, or in becoming an annual member, please refer to the membership information listed below. Checks may be made out to the FBC Pasadena Foundation and may be mailed in, or given to any church staff member or current Foundation board member.
