An invitation to a most tender liturgy

On Sunday, April 10th, at 4pm, we will join together for a Celebration of Gibson James Miller in the park at First Baptist Church of Pasadena. Parents Stormie and Dustin would like this to have a family-friendly feel, so please bring a blanket to sit on as you would at a family picnic. It will be a special time to honor the life of Gibson together. In lieu of flowers, the Millers have asked folks to consider a donation to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, specifically for The Heart Institute program in honor of Gibson James Miller. You can make a donation using the button below.

It has been a privilege to be invited into the tenderness of Gibson’s life. Stormie and Dustin have trusted our church community with the vulnerability of love’s potential heartbreak, particularly with the unknown of Gibson’s future before his birth. We are once again invited to draw near to Stormie and Dustin in their time of grief and loss. Please keep Stormie and Dustin in your prayers as we approach this service of remembrance and comfort.

For friends and family of the Millers who will be joining us for the first time, you can park in the garage located behind the church. The garage entrance is on Holly Street near the corner of Arroyo Parkway. Please bring your parking ticket for validation. You can walk out of the garage on Union Street to enter the park through the gates on that side.

Friends at FBCP,

Thank you for your prayerful support of the Millers throughout their pregnancy. We are heartbroken to share that Stormie and Dustin's baby Gibson died this morning in the NICU. Please listen to the audio above for more information on how to pray right now. This is an especially tender time for them, so thank you for your continued prayers and support. We will keep you posted about ways to come alongside them in the coming days and weeks and months. Know that your presence and words of love do make a difference as they walk this journey of grief.

less without you,

Pastors John Jay and Lindsay and the staff at FBCP
