Liturgy for wherever you are
Fourth Week of Lent | Genesis 41:25-38
March 10, 2024
welcome to WORSHIP
Liturgy is an ancient word for worship that is usually translated as “the work of the people.” You’ll hear the voices of our pastoral staff and our community each week, and we are so grateful that this is the work we get to do together. We prayerfully plan our worship services trusting that the Spirit will use each element to shape us and our desires as we pursue the path of Christ. In the River
Chris Quilala | Joshua Silverberg | Mark Alan Schoolmeesters | Ryan Williams
There is a river
Where goodness flows
There is a fountain
That drowns sorrow
There is an ocean
Deeper than fear
The tide is rising rising
There is a current
Stirring deep inside
It's overflowing
From the heart of God
The flood of heaven
Crashing over us
The tide is rising rising
Bursting bursting
Up from the ground we feel it now
Bursting bursting
Up from the ground we feel it now
We come alive in the river
We come alive in the river
We come alive in the river
We come alive in the river
Break open prison doors
Set all the captives free
Spring up a well spring up a well
Spring up a well in me
Nothing can stop this joy
We're dancing in the streets
Spring up a well spring up a well
Spring up a well in me
What a Beautiful Name
Ben Fielding | Brooke Ligertwood
You were the Word at the beginning
One with God the Lord Most High
Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in You our Christ
What a beautiful Name it is
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a beautiful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
You didn’t want heaven without us
So Jesus You brought heaven down
My sin was great Your love was greater
What could separate us now
What a wonderful Name it is
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a wonderful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
Death could not hold You
The veil tore before You
You silence the boast of sin and grave
The heavens are roaring
The praise of Your glory
For You are raised to life again
You have no rival
You have no equal
Now and forever God You reign
Yours is the kingdom
Yours is the glory
Yours is the Name above all names
What a powerful Name it is
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a powerful Name it is
Nothing can stand against
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
Here I Am to Worship
Tim Hughes
Light of the world
You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes let me see
Beauty that made
This heart adore You
Hope of a life spent with You
So here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
And You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me
King of all days
Oh so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came
To the earth You created
All for love's sake became poor
And I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
And I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross

What a wonderful group of friends we had for this week’s service! Jason welcomed us. Charles and Judy invited us into a communal practice of gratitude. Jessica called us into worship. Brian led us in communal prayer. Charles read scripture. Jason E provided us with a teaching and offered up the benediction. Rich invited us into a time of generosity through our offering. Jessica and Judy reminded us of the different ways we are invited to participate in communal life together. Paul provided our offertory. Our other musicians this morning were Halle, Natalee, Jonathan, Rick and Scott. Leslie oversaw the production. Kenny worked his technical magic to mix this special collaborative worship experience.
Much love from your church family at FBC Pasadena.
