Liturgy for wherever you are
Luke 22:39-46 | March 30, 2025
welcome to WORSHIP
Liturgy is an ancient word for worship that is usually translated as “the work of the people.” You’ll hear the voices of our pastoral staff and our community each week, and we are so grateful that this is the work we get to do together. We prayerfully plan our worship services trusting that the Spirit will use each element to shape us and our desires as we pursue the path of Christ. God I Look to You
Ian McIntosh | Jenn Johnson
God I look to You
I won't be overwhelmed
Give me vision to see things like You do
God I look to You
You're where my help comes from
Give me wisdom You know just what to
do
I will love You Lord my strength
I will love You Lord my shield
I will love You Lord my rock
Forever all my days I will love You God
Hallelujah our God reigns
Hallelujah our God reigns
Hallelujah our God reigns
Forever all our days hallelujah
Come to the River
David Dalton | Nate Moore | Pat Barrett | Tony Brown
Come to the water, all who are thirsty;
come and drink.
Come to the table, all who are hungry;
come and feast.
Those who are weary, those who are
needy, come receive.
Come to the River, come to the River;
taste and see.
Oh, oh my soul thirsts for You,
and You alone
Oh, oh my soul, thirsts for You,
and You alone.
I will taste and see that You are good.
I will taste and see that You are good.
I will taste and see that You are good
You're good to me
Communion
Tony Brown | Steffany Frizzell Gretzinger | Dante Bowe | Brandon Lake | Jonathan Jay
Take me back to the garden
Lead me back to the moment I heard Your voice
Take me back to communion
Lead me back to the moment I saw Your face
And it was oh so simple
It was easy to love
And no space between us
It was easy to trust
'Cause You are closer closer than my skin
And You are in the air I'm breathing in
And here's where the dead things come back to living
I feel my heart beating again
It feels so good to know You are my friend
This is the garden
Here in the place I find You close
This is communion
Here in the place I'm fully known
This is where I'm meant to be
Me and You and You and me
I don't have to prove a thing
You've already approved of me
You Hold It All Together
Alton Eugene | Edward Rivera | Elyssa Smith | Garrett Abel | Naomi Raine
You come at the right time
When I least expect it never behind
So why would I be surprised
When You deliver every time
On mountaintops
You stay the same
In valleys low
You never change
And I believe that I will see
The goodness of the Lord
I’m confident as seasons change
Your faithfulness remains
You go You go before me
To prepare a blessing You make a way
It’s more than I could imagine
More than I can fathom or comprehend
God of my present
God of my future
You write my story
You hold it all together

What a wonderful group of friends we had for this week’s service! Chip welcomed us, and then Michael and Mady invited us into a practice of shared gratitude. Leslie oriented us for worship through song. Bill read our scripture, and Lindsay provided our teaching and practices of lament. Riley led us in communal singing as an embodied practice. Staa led us in a congregational prayer. Our Choir offered a song as a reflective prayer over us. Chip invited us into a time of generosity through our offering. Lindsay had the privilege of introducing Faye, our newest partner and global servant. Our musicians this morning were Leslie, Riley, Paul, Sam, Jonathan, Judah, Rick, and Chris B. Chip and Lindsay reminded us of the different ways we are invited to participate in communal life together. Leslie oversaw the production while Steph worked their technical magic to mix this special collaborative worship experience.
Much love from your church family at FBC Pasadena.
