O Come O Come Emmanuel
O come, O come, Emmanuel,
and ransom captive Israel
that mourns in lonely exile here
until the Son of God appear.
Rejoice rejoice Emmanuel
Shall come to thee O Israel
O come, Thou Day-Spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death’s dark shadows put to flight.
O come, Desire of nations, bind
All peoples in one heart and mind;
Bid envy, strife and quarrels cease;
Fill the whole world with heaven’s peace.
O Come Let Us Adore Him
O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant;
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem!
Come and behold Him, born the King of angels!
O come, let us adore Him!
O come, let us adore Him!
O come, let us adore Him Christ, the Lord!
O come, all ye faithful, come, let us adore Him.
O come, all ye faithful, come, let us adore Him!
Sing, choirs of angels; sing in exultation;
Sing, all ye citizens of heav’n above!
Glory to God, glory in the highest!
O come, let us adore Him!
O come, let us adore Him!
O come, let us adore Him Christ, the Lord!
O sing, hallelujah! He alone is worthy!
O sing, hallelujah! He alone is worthy!
Yes, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning;
Jesus to Thee be all glory giv’n:
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing
O come, let us adore Him!
O come, let us adore Him!
O come, let us adore Him Christ, the Lord!
The Holly and the Ivy
The holly and the ivy,
When they are both full grown,
Of all the trees that are in the wood,
The holly bears the crown
The holly bears a blossom,
As white as lily flow’r,
And Mary bore sweet Jesus Christ,
To be our sweet Saviour
The rising of the sun,
And the running of the deer
The playing of the organ,
Sweet singing in the choir.
Oh the holly bears a berry,
As red as any blood,
And Mary bore sweet Jesus Christ,
To do poor sinners good
The holly bears a prickle,
As sharp as any thorn,
And Mary bore sweet Jesus Christ,
On Christmas Day in morn
The holly bears a bark,
Bitter as any gall,
And Mary bore sweet Jesus,
To redeem us all
May You Find a Light
Lost and weary traveler
Searching for the way to go
Stranger, heavy-hearted
Longing for someone to know
May you find a light
May you find a light
May you find a light to guide you home
There are weary travelers
Searching everywhere you go
Strangers who are searching
Longing deeply to be known
The Night That Christ Was Born
Listen to the angels
Rejoicing e’er so sweetly
Receiving heaven’s glory
The night that Christ was born
Can’t you see the people
Coming from every nation
Pleading for salvation
The night that Christ was born
Glory, glory, glory!
Hallelujah
Crying, “Holy, holy!”
The night that Christ was born
Oh such a wonderful savior
To be born in a manger
So that I can share His favor
And my heart be made anew.
Listen to the trumpets
Shouting through the darkness
Crying ‘holy, holy’
The night that Christ was born
It Came Upon A Midnight Clear
It came upon the midnight clear,
that glorious song of old.
From angels bending near the earth
to touch their harps of gold:
“Peace on the earth good-will to men,
from heaven’s all gracious King!”
The world in solemn stillness lay
to hear the angels sing.
Still through the cloven skies they come
with peaceful wings unfurled.
And still their heav’nly music floats
o’er all the weary world.
Above its sad and lowly plains
they bend on hov’ring wing,
And ever o’er its babel sounds
the blessed an-gels sing.
For lo! The days are hast’ning on,
by prophets seen of old,
when with the ever circling years
shall come the time foretold,
When the new heaven and earth shall own
the prince of peace their King.
And the whole world send back
the song which now the angels sing.
Do You Hear What I Hear?
Said the night wind to the little lamb,
"Do you see what I see?
Way up in the sky, little lamb.
Do you see what I see?
A star, a star
Dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite,
With a tail as big as a kite."
Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy,
"Do you hear what I hear?
Do you hear what I hear?
Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy,
Do you hear what I hear?
Do you hear what I hear?
A song, a song
High above the trees
With a voice as big as the sea,
With a voice as big as the sea."
Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king,
"Do you know what I know?
Do you know what I know?
In your palace warm, mighty king,
Do you know what I know?
Do you know what I know?
A child, a child
Shivers in the cold.
Let us bring him silver and gold.
Let us bring him silver and gold."
Said the king to the people everywhere,
"Listen to what I say.
Listen to what I say.
Pray for peace, people, everywhere.
Listen to what I say.
Listen to what I say.
The child, the child
Sleeping in the night.
He will bring us goodness and light.
He will bring us goodness and light."
He will bring us goodness and light
Grace Like Rain
Out of my spirit came streaming lights of Grace like rain,
Drenching,
Latching on to each thing
Dripping with a promise for joy
Unfailing love in the form of my boy
My son had come to live with you
To show you
That I am here
You are loved I’m always near
And when I push aside the curtains of uncertainty and fear,
allow the light to shine upon your worthiness and clear away the question,
“who am I?”
For when I gifted you my promise, my voice, my son, I said
You are mine
Nothing more
Nothing else
A manifestation of myself in flesh
In order to save you and give you my breathe
Breathe deeply my child
Take it all in
Each moment and heartbreak
Each joy and each loss
Breathe in all the world is
And breathe out something better
It’s why I gave you life, to live
So breathe
Breath for those who cannot because they have been suffocated by a world that does
not know what I meant by love
When you read the pages I left you
Written in my blood
Do you not see me?
For I am there, calling, waiting upon you
For I was there in the beginning and I am here in the now
Waiting to see what my creation will find in the words written and left behind
Don’t you know there was darkness but I brought you light
So you could find me in the moments when you’ve lost your sight
When you lose who you are, and forget what to do
You will find me in the pages of whispers I left you
Whispers, no, more like shouts
For my words came alive
He walked among you and
Made his home
In order to show you that you are not alone
That I am here
You are loved
I’m always near
Who are you?
You are mine
Undeserving but worthy at the same time
You are my creation
Nothing more
Nothing else
Reborn in a manner set aside from the rest
When you forget who you are, who I am, and what I’ve done
Remember I’m with you
Remember my son
Silent Night
Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
'Round yon virgin Mother and Child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight!
Glories stream from heaven afar;
Heavenly hosts sing Al-le-lu-ia!
Christ the Savior is born!
Christ the Savior is born!
Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth
Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
'Round yon virgin Mother and Child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace
