Sunday
The Friends In Deed food pantry item for this week is once again Buyer’s Choice. Get creative!
We’re taking down the greens after worship service Sunday, January 4, and everyone is invited to join the fun! Lunch will be provided for everyone who stays to help!
We invite those in our congregation who haven’t yet found a small group to join, to get in on the fun and close community! Text the word “small” to 626-727-9498 to start getting plugged in. You can also speak to Pastor Chip with questions or email him at chip@fbcpasadena.com.
The Center for Restorative Justice is hosting an installation titled, “Lighthouses," featuring images by Yemi Seyi, a local artist and the Director of Art + Narratives at The Center. The collection archives the aftermath of the fires and ongoing recovery, including mutual aid gatherings, marches, and memorials. All are invited to engage with the images and reflect on the question, “In a prolonged season of displacement and disorientation, what has been your lighthouse?” The opening event will take place next Sunday, January 11, from 2-4 pm in the Center’s space on the 3rd floor. You’ll also be able to visit the installation through January 28 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 11am and 6pm.
Join us for our next church wide Pride gathering on Sunday, January 18 after service. Bring a dish to share for lunch and plan for lively discussion around your table! Text “pride” to 626-727-9498.
Our next Basics Lunch will be on Sunday, January 18 right after service. New-ish folks wanting an in-depth introduction to FBCP are invited to join Pastor John Jay for lunch and a fun and informative deep dive.
