Liturgy for wherever you are
January 19, 2025 | Philippians 4:10-13
welcome to WORSHIP
Liturgy is an ancient word for worship that is usually translated as “the work of the people.” You’ll hear the voices of our pastoral staff and our community each week, and we are so grateful that this is the work we get to do together. We prayerfully plan our worship services trusting that the Spirit will use each element to shape us and our desires as we pursue the path of Christ. Lyrics*
At Your Name
Phil Wickham | Tim Hughes
At Your name
The mountains shake and crumble
At Your name
The oceans roar and tumble
At Your name angels will bow
The earth will rejoice
Your people cry out
Lord of all the earth we shout Your name
Shout Your name
Filling up the skies with endless praise
Endless praise
Yahweh Yahweh
We love to shout Your name oh Lord
At Your name
The morning breaks in glory
At Your name
Creation sings Your story
At Your name angels will bow
The earth will rejoice
Your people cry out
There is no one like our God
We will praise You praise You
There's no one like our God
We will sing, we will sing
Way Maker
Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu
You are here moving in our midst
I worship You I worship You
You are here working in this place
I worship You I worship You
Way Maker Miracle Worker Promise Keeper
Light in the darkness my God that is who You are
Way Maker Miracle Worker Promise Keeper
Light in the darkness my God that is who You are
You are here touching ev’ry heart
I worship You, I worship You
You are here healing ev’ry heart
I worship You I worship Yo
You are here turning lives around
I worship You, I worship You
You are here mending ev’ry heart
I worship You I worship You
Even when I don’t see it You’re working
Even when I don’t feel it You’re working
You never stop You never stop working
You never stop You never stop working
My Hope is Built on Nothing Less
Charlie Hall | Edward Mote | Kendall Combes | Trent Austin | William Batchelder Bradbury
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly lean on Jesus' name
On Christ the solid Rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand
When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In ev’ry high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
His oath, His covenant, His blood
Support me in the whelming flood
When all around my soul gives way
He then is all my hope and stay
When He shall come with trumpet sound
O may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
Faultless to stand before the throne
This Little Light of Mine
Harry Dixon Loes | David Wakerley | David Ware
This little light of mine
I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine
I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine let it shine let it shine
Ev'rywhere I go
I'm gonna let it shine
Ev'rywhere I go
I'm gonna let it shine
Ev'rywhere I go
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine let it shine let it shine
Even when I'm afraid
I'm gonna let it shine
Even when I'm afraid
I'm gonna let it shine
Even when I'm afraid
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine let it shine let it shine

Praise God, all creatures here below;
Praise God above, ye heav'nly host;

What a wonderful group of friends we had for this week’s service! Lindsay welcomed us and she and John Jay invited us into a communal practice of gratitude. Tyler called us into worship. Lindsay, John Jay, Mary and Chip participated in the dedication of Baby Rusty Mae and a Liturgy of Remembrance. Jeannette read scripture. John Jay provided us with a teaching, a litany, and offered up the benediction. Chip invited us into a time of generosity through our offering. Our musicians this morning were Leslie, John Jay, Tilli, Chris M, Rick and Chris B. Lindsay and Chip reminded us of the different ways we are invited to participate in communal life together. Leslie oversaw the production while Steph worked their technical magic to mix this special collaborative worship experience.
Much love from your church family at FBC Pasadena.
