THIS SUNDAY, IF AT ALL POSSIBLE TRY TO ARRIVE BEFORE 10:30am! Grab a palm branch on the way to your pew to get ready and welcome Christ as we walk towards Holy Week and Easter. Palm Sunday (March 29) commemorates Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, where he was welcomed by crowds waving palm branches and hailing him as the Messiah. This joyous occasion is recorded in all four Gospels and sets the stage for the events of the Passion, which unfold in the days that follow.

The Yarn Group typically meets every other week and meets this Sunday (March 29) after service in the Southside room (note the temporary room change). All experience levels are welcome!
Open Space is on hiatus until sometime after Easter. We are evaluating the way we connect with you and are reflecting about how this event can better serve God’s purpose in our church family. More information coming soon.
Easter and Holy Week (March 29-April 5): Here are some things to remember and think about as we get closer to Holy Week.
Palm Sunday | March 29th | Regular Worship Time @10:30am
Join us as the children and youth lead worship with the FBCP Choir to welcome Holy Week with palms waving.
Maundy Thursday | April 2nd | 6pm in the Chapel
This will be an intimate service that includes a reflective time of prayer, communion and foot washing. Childcare will be provided for nursery-aged children.
Good Friday | April 3rd | 6pm in the Chapel
This special service will serve as an invitation to listen to scripture and our wonderful FBCP Choir as we remember Christ’s crucifixion and His death on the cross. The service ends with a procession out of the Sanctuary in silence. Childcare will be provided for nursery-aged children.
Flowers for the Cross: Help us decorate the cross on Easter with greenery from all over our city! Snip and bring in some flowers when you come for brunch at 10am on April 5th. This year our design will be a little different! We are inviting you to please bring flowers and greenery from your yard in pastel colors (light pink, peach, light blue, light purple, light yellow, white, green… preferably no red or dark colors). Thank you to Rebekah K. for helping us bring beauty to the cross this year.
Easter Brunch + Service | April 5th @10am: We will celebrate Easter Sunday on April 5th beginning with a potluck brunch and mariachi band at 10am in the Park on Union St! Based on your last name, if you’re able, we’re asking you to bring about 10 servings of something sweet/fruit (A-L) or savory (M-Z) to eat and share with your friends here. Food sensitivities cards are available at the Connections desk on 3/29 for use 4/5.
Worship service will be immediately afterward at 11am with the children joining us for service to celebrate Christ’s resurrection. Nursery care will be provided for ages four and under. We hope you can join us both for brunch and worship!
