Weekly Updates 05.09.2025

Sunday Happenings

  • Spring Sunday School is in full swing with three class choices starting at 9am on Sundays! Click here for more information.

  • We invite all girls, women and mother figures to enjoy a five-minute complimentary massage on Mother’s Day, May 11th. Massage chairs will be set up in the back of the Sanctuary and will be available throughout the service.

  • Join us at 10:30am for worship in the Sanctuary! Our scripture this week is Romans 8:18-25. The nursery will be open as usual for our toddlers and babies. Our kids five years old and up can join us for the first part of worship and then will be dismissed to their classrooms with their leaders. They can sit with their parents or join us in the front rows at the start of service. Our youth are invited to spend time with families on this holiday weekend, and we will resume our regular lunch gathering on May 18th. The Prayer team will be available at the front of the Sanctuary toward the end of the service to pray with those who would like to receive prayer.

  • The Friends In Deed food pantry item this week is toiletries (including feminine and baby items).

Missions Corner

Please see our Missions Update page for the latest information and prayer requests from the IM global servants we specifically support as a congregation.

American Baptist International Ministries is continuing to respond to the March 28th Earthquake in Myanmar that affected both Myanmar and Thailand. The IM global servants serving in that overall area are safe (including Kit Ripley), but the needs of the people most affected are great. At least two IM global servants serve in ministry related to refugee camps along the border and at least two others have ministry both in Myanmar and Thailand. An initial grant of $10K in OGHS emergency funds was sent to partners providing humanitarian relief to victims. There is an ongoing need for victims in Myanmar, which you can read about here. Anyone wanting to help can do so by giving here and designating it for OGHS-Myanmar Relief by the end of today.

Kids Camp is only 5 Weeks Away!!

Register now! Camp will run June 16-20 from 9am-12pm each day. We are excited to help our kids encounter God's love together with people from our church family! Youth families, please note that the youth are invited to help again this year, and this can count for community service hours if they have any requirements through school or other organizations. Adults and youth, let Pastor Andrew know if you’d like to help out!
